A Story About Iraq

Yesterday I went to see my doctor who is from Iraq and moved here to the USA when she was 28 in 1980. After we discussed my health needs, I asked her what she thought of what was going on in Iraq.
I asked her this because I remember a visit I had with her before 9/11...before Iraq was invaded by the US and the statue of Saddam Hussein toppled. She had said..."Saddam is worse than Hitler."

So yesterday she opened up  and these are her comments:
"The Iraqis deserve what is happening to them because they have not learned to live together."

"Bush/USA did the right thing by capturing Saddam and ordering the killing of his sons (who were hiding up north...they were even worse than their dad.)"

When I was growing up in Iraq it was the safest country! We never locked our doors..we would have our garage door open all the time, night and day, we were not afraid of anyone coming to steal our things or hurt us. I could walk home from the university in the dark at 10:30 at night..safely.

When Saddam came into power...he had a circle of people who did his bidding and got rewarded...they were his henchman..if one of them overheard someone say something like. "Oh darn, we have no tomatoes because of the sanction." They would get their heads chopped off. You could not say one thing against Saddam or you would be killed that way.

"The happiest day of my life was when the Saddam statue was pulled down. I was watching it on TV here in this country and I jumped up and down on the couch in celebration..I was so happy! Yes, it was the happiest day of my life."

Bush did the right thing..Plan A was right, take out Saddam. He did not have a plan B and that was bad. They should have put in a good dictator...we do not want democracy. We like dictators..they just have to be good ones.

Spencer W Kimball Speaks On SELF RELIANCE

We are to build Zion, characterized by love and peace and unity.

https://www.lds.org/general-conference/1978/04/becoming-the-pure-in-heart?lang=eng#listen=audio

This is just a portion of the speech below. Click on the link above to hear the whole audio.

“The responsibility for each member’s spiritual, social, emotional, physical, or economic well-being rests first upon himself, second, upon his family, and third, upon the Church. Members of the Church are commanded by the Lord to be self-reliant and independent to the extent of their ability. (See D&C 78:13–14.)
“No true Latter-day Saint, while physically or emotionally able, will voluntarily shift the burden of his own or his family’s well-being to someone else. So long as he can, under the inspiration of the Lord and with his own labors, he will work to the extent of his ability to supply himself and his family with the spiritual and temporal necessities of life. (See Gen. 3:191 Tim. 5:8; and Philip. 2:12.)
“As guided by the spirit of the Lord and through applying these principles, each member of the Church should make his own decisions as to what assistance he accepts, be it from governmental or other sources. In this way, independence, self-respect, dignity, and self-reliance will be fostered, and free agency maintained.” (Statement of the Presiding Bishopric, as quoted in Ensign, March 1978, p. 20.)
Underlying this statement is the recurring theme of self-reliance. No amount of philosophizing, excuses, or rationalizing will ever change the fundamental need for self-reliance. This is so because:
“All truth is independent in that sphere in which God has placed it, … as all intelligence also; otherwise there is no existence.” (D&C 93:30.) The Lord declares that herein lies “the agency of man” (see D&C 93:31), and with this agency comes the responsibility for self. With this agency we can rise to glory or fall to condemnation. May we individually and collectively be ever self-reliant. This is our heritage and our obligation.

Feb 12 Glenn Beck

Glenn could not believe it when he read the Huffington Post article about him....see it here...

What? My
9-12    project  has   9 values and 12 principles   said Glenn.
Media out of touch with who Glenn is and what he stands for!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9-12_Project
The name "9-12" is symbolic of both the day after the September 11 attacks in 2001 and the project's "nine principles and twelve values."[6] According to the website, the 9-12 Project, the 9 Principles and 12 Values are derived from the principles of the Founding Fathers:
At the origin of America, our Founding Fathers built this country on 28 powerful principles. These principles were culled from all over the world and from centuries of great thinkers. We have distilled the original 28 down to the 9 basic principles.[7]
The website lists the 9 Principles, accompanied by quotations from George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. The 9 Principles are:
America is good.
I believe in God and He is the center of my life.
I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
The 12 Values are:
Honesty
Reverence
Hope
Thrift
Humility
Charity
Sincerity
Moderation
Hard Work
Courage
Personal Responsibility
Gratitude (originally Friendship)[citation needed]
History[edit]

Protesters walking towards the U.S. Capitol during the Taxpayer March on Washington.
A group of protesters hold signs praising Beck at the Taxpayer March on Washington.
The 9-12 Project was created as the result of Beck's "We Surround Them" campaign, a series of segments and specials on Beck's television program in early 2009 which purported to bring back government accountability.[8] Viewers were asked to incorporate these values first in their personal lives, then expect them of those they elected to office and holding the elected accountable. At one point during the campaign, viewers were asked to submit pictures if they believed at least seven of the nine founding principles and felt they were alone in believing these principles. Many of the pictures were used to form a collage that once lined one of the walls in Glenn Beck's Fox News Channel studio.[citation needed] The 9-12 Project grew out of that campaign, as a result of the original call Beck took on his nationally syndicated talk radio show, from "Ed" of New Haven, Connecticut. During that phone call in late January, 2009, "Ed" said that he felt "outnumbered" (as a true conservative in today's political battles). Beck told him that he would figure out a way to prove to him that he isn't alone, and that "they," the powers that be, don't surround "us", the American people, but rather, "We Surround Them!"
Following the Taxpayer March on Washington on September 12, 2009, Beck introduced a campaign for the 9-12 project called "Re-found America". The campaign aims to find 56 Re-Founders, who are Congressional politicians who agree to stand against corruption and abuses of power, and become whistle blowers, exposing the evidence of corruption.[9]
Beginning in March 2010, the IRS started scrutinizing organizations, in particular conservative organizations, that it suspected of engaging in political activity not permitted under their tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. IRS civil service employees were instructed to focus on groups with certain words in their names. The "9-12 Project" was one of these groups.

On his TV show at 5 pm NY time, 2 pm Calif time, he had a gal on ( a psychologist) who talked about the mental habits of successful and strong people. They had a group of teens in, too...to discuss these concepts with them and help them. A very valuable show today!

More on Immigration

I do not have a lot of time to study all this...but it is an important issue.

http://www.rightsidenews.com/2013081033026/us/homeland-security/19-very-disturbing-facts-on-illegal-immigration-every-american-should-know.html

Regarding Illegal Immigration

I got this in an email today. What makes me sad is that our government did not enforce its own laws and now we have this mess. What if they left .....AND ENTERED LEGALLY Somebody really did their homework on this one. Best on the sub j ect to present date. What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America ? I, Tina Griego, j ournalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, "Mexican Visitor's Lament". I interviewed Mexican j ournalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, "illegal aliens pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes. What Happens to your country's economy if 20 million people go away?" Hmmm, I thought, what would happen? So I did my due diligence, buried my nose as a reporter into the FACTS I found below. It's a good question it deserves an honest answer. Over 80% of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America ? The answers I found may surprise you! In California , if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico , it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominant language again. In Colorado , 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and grandchildren would move back 'home', mostly to Mexico . That would save Colorado an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 billion) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone. Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals. Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67% dropout/flunk rate because of thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41different languages.. At least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our grid locked cities in Colorado . Denver 's 4% unemployment rate would vanish as our working poor would gain j obs at a living wage. In Florida , 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to America , the rule of law, and English. In Chicago, Illinois , 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free experience. If 20 million illegal aliens returned 'home', the U.S. Economy would return to the rule of law. Employers would hire legal American citizens at a living wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of taxes because they wouldn't be working off the books. That would result in an additional $401 Billion in IRS income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local, state and city coffers. No more push '1' for Spanish or '2' for English. No more confusion in American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages that degrade the educational system for American kids. Our overcrowded schools would lose more than two million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches. We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country. In cities like L.A. , 20,000 members of the ' 18th Street Gang' would vanish from our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for ID theft from Americans! No more foreign rapists and child molesters! Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our crowded highways and gridlock. Cleaner air and less drinking and driving American deaths by illegal aliens! America 's economy is drained. Taxpayers are harmed. Employers get rich. Over $80 billion annually wouldn't return to the aliens' home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants earned half that money untaxed, which further drains America 's economy which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt. $8.7 trillion debt !! At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us $109 billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California , Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being bankrupt out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act. Americans wouldn't suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant in our country-brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders. Our cities would see 20 million less people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities. It would also put the 'progressives' on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11% of our greenhouse gases. Over one million of Mexico's poorest citizens now live inside and along our border from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego, California in what the New York Times called, 'colonias' or new neighborhoods. Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta where grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation and worse. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, roads, electricity, or any kind of sanitation. The New York Times reported them to be America's new ' Third World ' inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their current growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonias. (I've seen them personally in Texas and Arizona ; it's sickening beyond anything you can imagine.) By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico . We should invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries and/or make a better life in Mexico . We already invite a million people into our country legally more than all other countries combined annually. We cannot and must not allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing lawlessness at every level in our nation. It's time to stand up for our country, our culture, our civilization and our way of life Interesting Statistics! Here are 13 reasons illegal aliens should vacate America, and I hope they are forwarded over and over again until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them: 1. $14 billion to $22 billion dollars are spent each year on welfare to illegal aliens. (that's Billion with a 'B') http://tinyurl.com/zob77..html 2. $7.5 billion dollars are spent each year on Medicaid for illegal aliens. http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html 3. $12 billion dollars are spent each year on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they still cannot speak a word of English!http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0604/01/ldt.01.html 4. $27 billion dollars are spent each year for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0604/01/ldt.01.html 5. $3 Million Dollars 'PER DAY' is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens. That's $1.2 Billion a year.http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0604/01/ldt.01.html 6. 28% percent of all federal prison inmates are illegal aliens. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0604/01/ldt.01.html 7. $190 billion dollars are spent each year on illegal aliens for welfare & social services by the American taxpayers. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0610/29/ldt.01.html 8. $200 billion dollars per year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0604/01/ldt.01.html 9. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the US ..http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0606/12/ldt.01.html 10. During the year 2005, there were 8 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our southern border with as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from other terrorist countries.Over 10,000 of those were middle-easternterrorists. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin, crack, Guns, and mari j uana crossed into the U.S. from the southern border.http://tinyurl.com/t9sht 11. The National Policy Institute, estimates that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion, or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period and nbsp;http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/publications.php?b=deportation 12. In 2006, illegal aliens sent home $65 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin, to their families and friends. http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm 13. The dark side of illegal immigration: Nearly one million sex crimes are committed by illegal immigrants in the United States ! http://www.drdsk.com/articleshtml Total cost a whopping $538.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! If this doesn't bother YOU, then j ust delete the message. Otherwise, forward this to everyone YOU know
